The cashier assumed the beer must be a gift because afterall, 'girls don't drink beer'. The offended girl hence coins the term beerist to describe this beer-elitist who assumed that girls don't enjoy a good brew from time to time.

Now we're offended; not all beerists are elitists. Take us for instance… Alvin and I welcome any beer drinker, whether male/female, short/tall, gay/straight, black/white or any other color or label you can think of. Hell you don't even have to be human to drink with us… we're equal opportunity beer enthusiasts. So Ms. Pink Shoe, your next beer is on us… or at least me, I can't speak for Alvin.
